Harefield Assessment 1.

Hi again guys
So, I had my first Harefield appointment and I have no idea why I was so nervous?
I got there the day before my assessment and stayed in the accommodation rooms, they were so hot, proper stuffy, but they were nice, i guess. I went into the town by Harefield for the day and me and my folks went to the cinema to watch the 'Great and Powerful OZ' It was really good and recommend it.
Anyway, the day of my appointment came around really fast, we arrived at the clinic at 9:40 and was seen almost straight away. I went for all my test, bloods, ECHO, ECG, Lung Functions and x-rays.
Bloods was fun! The blood nurses tried a few times but failed, so they called in for the Doctor to try. They finally got 11 bottles out of me instead of the 18 they needed, but they left it as i never had no more veins they wanted to try and prod.
After lunch was the meeting, which I was not looking forward to at all, but it was know where near as bad as I thought. They went through a few things, and came to the decision to see me in June, for the 3 day assessment. They said due to my height and because of my CF, i may be on the waiting list for a very long time before I get my transplant, so they want to put me on the list sooner rather than later, as transplant is really my last option, as I am maximum drugs and care, without me being in hospital 24/7.
So we will soon find out if I will be defiantly going on the list in June.
So the wait and journey begins i guess.
Talk to you soon guys
